Necker’s Sparkles Like A Jewel Among Stores
People enter jewelry stores in love, in pride, looking to celebrate their relationships and the vibrant times in their lives, and Neckers Jewelers makes sure that their glow remains as vibrant as one of their diamonds while patrons are within their doors.
That emphasis on service, price, quality and selection at its locations at 721 6th Ave. in DeWitt and 4007 E. 53rd St., Davenport, helped Neckers become one of the top businesses in the area in its specialty.
“It feels good to do so much to help customers throughout the year but also great to see that come back,” said Abby Rock, director of marketing for Neckers. “Our focus is on customers, community and our employees. It’s a special business because we get the privilege to be part of very emotional, very personal moments in people’s lives, and it’s a good feeling to be a part of that.”
Starting as DeWitt’s U.S. Brumer jewelry shop in 1893, Neckers began its current run when Don and Dorothy Necker bought that venue in 1952, and their sons, David and DJ Necker, led their expansion to the Quad-Cities proper in 2002. The business offers new and used jewelry as well as custom crafted pieces from rings to necklaces to watches and more.
“We offer jewelry that doesn’t just last a lifetime,” Rock said, “but heirlooms that can last generations.”
