Western Illinois University Admissions and University Marketing Bring Home the Gold
MACOMB/Moline, IL – Western Illinois University’s Undergraduate Admissions and University Marketing efforts have earned top honors from the Collegiate Advertising Awards (CAA), bringing home the gold in two categories: Advertising Speciality and Poster/Display Series.
Western was awarded the Gold Awards, which is a score of 95-99 out of 100 and equates to the top five percent in the nation, in Advertising and Speciality for the WIU admitted student care package and in Poster/Display Series WIU photo backdrops. Submissions were reviewed by a national panel of industry experts. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
“I am very excited about these awards as they represent recognition for the high degree of collaboration between Admissions and Marketing. We continue to work together to increase visibility and enhance enrollment at WIU,” said Doug Freed, director of Undergraduate Admissions.
The CAA is an elite, national program recognizing higher education organizations for excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotions of their schools.
The 2021 CAA program received entries from the United States and Canada representing small community colleges to very large schools and universities.
