North Scott Community School District Hosting Safety Symposium Today
The North Scott Community School District is pleased to host the Inaugural Quad City
School Safety Symposium on Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 8 am to 3:30 pm in the North Scott High
School Auditorium. The event was organized in partnership with a number of agencies and
organizations:
● Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training
● Eldridge Police Department
● Emergency Management of Scott County
● Iowa State Patrol
● MILO Virtual
● Audio Enhancement & Halo Smart Sensor
The symposium is free and Quad City area school administrators, safety committees, area safety
agencies, and more have been invited to attend. More than 15 school districts are represented in
the registrations received, thus far.
Scott Dryer from the Iowa Department of Education will present about the $100M school safety
improvement fund Governor Reynolds announced on June 14.
Other opportunities the symposium aims to provide include:

● safety product demonstrations
● best practices roundtable discussion
● the opportunity to earn an ALERRT: CRASE Training certificate, and more
