Trivia Night For Patty Bauch Riechers Set For Friday

patty-baugh-riechersA benefit trivia night to help raise funds for Patty Baugh Riechers will be held Friday, Oct. 21 at Two Rivers United Methodist Church, 1820 5th Ave. Rock Island. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Trivia will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Cost for a table of 8 is $100.00 or $13.00 for an individual. The cost includes 1 mulligan per table per round, plus 1 doubler per table.
Patty taught music at Jordan Catholic schools, and Horace Mann School in Rock Island.  She was a member of the Nova Singers, has sung in and directed Music Guild shows, directed choirs and sung in many Quad City area churches.

Patty had to go on disability after she suffered a silent heart attack at the end of her last year at Horace Mann. It broke her heart to stop teaching, and as her illnesses progressed she lost the ability to play guitar, flute, and the energy to sing. She has survived thyroid cancer, steroid induced diabetes, kidney failure, diabetic charcot neuroarthropathy, and amputation of both legs and some of her left hand and fingers.

The overwhelming costs of Patty’s care have left her and her husband Chuck Riechers fighting to keep a roof over their heads. Patty and Chuck are in dire need of a reliable vehicle to transport Patty to and from dialysis three, sometimes four times a week.

Organizers ask that people donate an auction or raffle item if they cannot attend. Please call or text Tammy at 309-737-6702 or email help.for.patty@gmail.com  to reserve a table or make a donation.
