Storm Warns Of Online Ticket Scam
The Quad City Storm Hockey team has reminded members of the community to be wary of online ticketing offers and scams ahead of Saturday’s inaugural season opener.
There were several reports of online purchase scams involving the opening night game on October 20. In most cases, fans received the tickets but were charged excessive service and handling fees. Fans are advised to visit QuadCityStorm.com and purchases tickets directly through the linked Ticketmaster page to ensure quality and safety. From now until December 1st, the team is giving back to the community by waiving all Ticketmaster fees for fans purchasing tickets online.
President Gwen Tombergs said, “We want to make sure none of our fans fall victim to these online ticketing scams.” “We encourage everyone to order online through QuadCityS torm.com to not only annoying third party fees but also avoid waiting in long lines on opening night!”
“We are anticipating an extremely large crowd on Saturday night and we want this to be a fun night for our fans,” Tristan Tapscott, Director of Fan Experience, said. “We encourage everyone to order tickets online to help us create a rock star pre-game experience.”
