Rum, Chocolate and Cheese? Oh my!
If you are looking for a delicious way to spend your Wednesday evening this week, then look no further than PUB 1848!
PUB 1848 (1601 River Dr. Moline) is hosting a Rum, Chocolate and Cheese Pairing this Wednesday Jul 25!
The evening will be organized in a ‘classroom-like setting’ with groups of 8 enjoying delicious rums and food pairings. The rounds of pairing sessions will begin at 5:15 p.m. and will last 45 minutes each until 8:15 p.m.
Four different rums will be paired with complimentary chocolates, cheeses and fruits. Groups will sample each rum one at a time while learning a bit about each product. Then each participant will experience the same samples paired with the appropriate food item. Ashley Smith, of PUB 1848, shares “it’s like a party in your mouth! It’s so much fun to see how the pairing food item changes the flavor of the rum.”
Whether you are enjoying a delicious blueberry açaí dark cocoa or an aged cheddar with your aromatic and delightful rum, your taste buds will thank you for the experience.
