Royal Ball Run For Autism Raising Awareness

Royal Ball Run For Autism Raising AwarenessThere are 1 in 68 children diagnosed with autism each year. And thanks to local organizations, such as the Royal Ball Run for Autism, increasing awareness and support in our area is possible.

The Royal Ball Run for Autism has donated more than $100,000 to local autism programs, including the Quad Cities Autism Center and the Augustana College Speech and Language Therapy program. And now they need your help to raise even more!

On Friday June 23, the Royal Ball for all the Prince and Princesses will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Camden Centre (2701 1st Street E Milan).  They will have bounce houses, carnival games, food, royal dancing, and plenty of princes and princesses making special appearances. The Prince and Princesses Fun Run will take place at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday June 24 at 7:30 a.m. the Walk of Heroes and Highnesses will take place at 331 4th Street W Milan. This walk is a ½ mile out and back in celebration of royally remarkable individuals on the spectrum.

At 8 a.m. the 6th Annual Royal Ball Run 5K and 5-mile will begin. Each participant in these races will receive a dry-fit style race shirt.

You can register for this year’s race on-line at http://www.royalballrun.com/race/ or at the Camden Centre on Friday from 12-8 p.m.

If you are unable to attend this weekend’s events but would still like to make a donation to help a very needed cause, you can do so on-line at http://www.royalballrun.com/donate/.
