Quad Cities Marathon Brings Runners to Downtown Moline

Are you ready for the Midwest’s favorite marathon?

The Quad Cities Marathon will take place this weekend in downtown Moline, with a run for everyone! There will be the Marathon, a Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, 1 Mile Run/Walk, Kids Micro-Marathon and the Pump-N-Run.

The weekend’s events start with the Active Endeavors Health & Fitness Expo at the TaxSlayer Center (1201 River Dr. Moline) on Saturday Sep 22 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  This event is open to the public. There will be more than 40 booths featuring health and fitness products and information. Race Registration will also be available for race categories.Quad Cities Marathon Brings Runners to Downtown Moline

From 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. the Body Dynamics Pump-N-Run will be going on at the Expo. A casual morning shake-out run will begin at 8 a.m. The Rudy’s Taco’s 1 Mile Run/Walk will start at 11 a.m. and the Happy Joe’s Kids Micro-Marathon will commence at 1:30 p.m.

On Sunday Sep 23, the 5K Run/Walk, Marathon, Marathon Relay and Half Marathon will begin promptly at 7:00 a.m. in downtown Moline. An Awards Ceremony for the 5K will be held at 9:00 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. for the Marathon events.

This one-of-a-kind race covers 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island, all along the Mississippi River. And they do this while benefitting charitable causes.
