Port Byron’s Village Board Member Wes Wells, the organizer of this amazing event, shares the events for the evening, “After recognizing Veterans of the Vietnam Era and the memory of Ellis Kell, four great bands will follow. Just after 5 p.m., we are pleased to present local blues band, Tony Hoeppner and Friends. Next will be Iowa Blues Hall of Famers, Joe and Vicki Price. The third act will be the winner of the 2017 Best Touring Musician in Great Britain and 2012 Grammy Winner, Jenn Bostic on keyboards and guitar. The evening will be closed with local favorite Dave Ellis accompanied by bluesman Rich Wilcox on harmonica and electric violin.”

Local restaurants will feature BBQ and drink specials. Drinking is allowed on Main Street from Hickory to Quarry with wristbands issued by bars. No coolers or pets are allowed.

There will also be several air-conditioned restaurants, just a few steps from the music. So don’t let those hot weather predictions discourage you from attending!

In the words of Wes Wells, “Bring out your lawn chairs and head down to the picturesque banks of the Mississippi for an enjoyable evening of music, food and fun!”
