Get Into The Art Of Gardening

Get Into The Art Of GardeningGardening season is right around the corner. Are you ready to start planning this year’s home garden? Whether you are a beginner or expert, this event will help you make the most out of the great outdoors this year!

Muscatine Community College’s Continuing Education Department is again offering their popular Art of Gardening day-long seminar! Art of Gardening will take place on Saturday Mar 17 at MCC Strahan Hall (152 Colorado Street Muscatine).

The Art of Gardening seminar is used to educate and inspire others to seek enjoyment and fulfillment through a variety of home gardening related topics and activities. The cost for this amazing and educational event is only $45. The day will start out with registration and free coffee at 8 a.m.  Welcome and announcements will be held from 8:30 – 8:50 a.m. Throughout the day MMC student organization, Business Professional of America, will be holding a bake sale, as well!

Art of Gardening break-out sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m. Everything from ‘Ornamental Grasses’, ‘Curb Appeal’ and ‘Birds, Bees and Trees’ to ‘Growing Melons in Fruitland, Iowa’, ‘Beginning Vegetable Gardening’ and ‘Canning and Preserving’ will be covered throughout the day.
