German American Heritage Center Starting 2017 Off Strong
Davenport’s German American Heritage Center is starting the new year off with a bang, with a bunch of family-friendly events for kids still on break, families looking for interesting things to do and anyone just wanting a change of pace event.

January 8th: Community Open House, 12-4pm

3pm: German Iowans & the Politics of Brewing
January 15: Women Immigrant Exhibit Opening
A new multicultural exhibit focusing on the travels, contributions, and hardships of women immigrant to the United States.
January 15: “Kuchen in the Cornfields: German Immigrant Women Finding Community in Iowa” Presentation
2pm at the GAHC, Presented by Jeannette Gabriel
January 22: 1917 Exhibit
A year long exhibit with three separate installations. January will usher in our exhibit on the Red Cross in World War I
