Gallagher, Daniel O’Donnell Bring Irish Music, Melons And More to Downtown Moline

gallagherFunny men Gallagher and Artie Fletcher bring their “Jokes on You Tour” to the iWireless Center on October 22 at 7:30 p.m.  Known as the famous watermelon smasher, Gallagher literally invented the television stand-up comedy special.  Boasting 3,500 live shows to capacity crowds he was the #1 comedian in ticket sales for almost 15 years.  Also joining him will be The Fry Daddies.

The Moline Township Activity Center (MAC) will hold a Trivia Night on October 21 beginning at 4:30. First place winner will receive $200, while second place brings in $100!  Come enjoy $5 food baskets, gift baskets, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and a bake sale.  All proceeds will help fund future programs for MAC seniors. Unleash your inner vampire as Ballet Quad Cities and The Planning Center present Dracula on October 21/22 at 7:30 p.m at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  This timeless, gothic tale of love, lust and horror returns. International artist Domingo Rubio will seduce audiences for two performances with the love story of Dracula and Mina, so purchase tickets today.

Grab all your little ghouls and goblins and head downtown to watch the 49th Annual Moline Dad’s Club Halloween Parade on October 23 at 2:00 p.m. Check out the groups of creative souls who will bare their alter egos, vote on your favorite ghoulish float, listen to the marching bands and make sure you bring your Halloween tote to capture all of the candy that will be tossed your way!  The fun begins and ends in front of the iWireless Center.

Irish singing sensation, Daniel O’Donnell, will be performing at the iWireless Center on October 23 at 5:00 p.m.  Singing a combination of country music, inspirational ballads, pop hits and Irish standards, he has charted 18 albums in the Top 20 of the Billboard’s World Music Album chart. Joining him on stage will be special guest Mary Duff.
