Floatzilla Attempting To Break A World RecordHave you ever wanted to participate in an attempt to break a world record? Well here is your opportunity!

Floatzilla 2017 will once again attempt to break the world record for Largest Flotilla of Man-Powered Crafts, this weekend! In addition, and for the first time, there will be an attempt to break the Largest Simultaneous Kayak Launch world record! And you can help!

There are a few different ways one can register. You can go online and register at https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=125950. You can also stop by the River Action office at 822 E River Drive, Davenport (Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Registration can also take place during the Packet Pickup on Friday Aug 18 from 4-7 p.m. at the Credit Island Lodge (2200 W River Drive Davenport).

Friday Aug 18, from 5-9 p.m. the Floatzilla Fest Packet Pickup Party and Swap-Zilla will be in full swing at Credit Island. Come out for the fun and games and stay for some camping! Live music will also be provided by Frankie Joe & Kinfolk from 5:15-6:30, Subatlantic from 6:30-7:30 and Chrash from 7:30-9:30.

On Saturday Aug 19, Floatzilla 2017 will commence. There will be numerous launch areas based on your kayaking skill level. Locations and launch times can be found at https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=125950. Festivities will be happening at Lake Potter in Sunset Park (Rock Island). Live music will be provided by Lewis Knudsen from 10 a.m. until noon and Mountain Swallower from 12-2 p.m.
