Don’t Be an Ogre, Come See Shrek The Musical!

(L to R) Jeremy Weinstein, Kat Jecklin

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. It’s the tale of a big green ogre, an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you have pure magic.

Tickets are $16 for adults and $1 for children. Call (309) 762-6610 for reservations today!

An hour before the show, Quad City Music Guild’s free MetroLINK shuttle buses will await you in the south east corner of the South Park Mall parking lot, near JCPenney. They will whisk you to and from the Prospect Park Auditorium, which has limited parking available only for patrons with Persons with Disabilities parking permits. Keep an eye out for the volunteer bus greeters – they’ll tell you more about upcoming shows.
