The annual Juneteenth festival’s mission is to educate and promote the historical significance of the holiday. Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day, is an American holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. state of Texas. This festival will commemorate the end of slavery in America and educate the community on the history of African Americans.
