Achtung, Babies! Plenty To Do At The German Heritage Center In November!

Achtung! There’s plenty coming up in the German American Heritage Center, 712 W Second Street, Davenport, in November!

It starts with The Untold Story of Santa: Behind the White Beard; the new exhibit created by students of the Creative Arts Academy, sponsored by the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation, on the 1st floor! Open until January 8th.

Sausage Saturdays;  Jerry’s Market will be selling sausage and other goods from the 1st floor on November 12th and 19th from 11-1pm. Come grab a bite!
Germany and the Reformation; Learn about the life of Martin Luther and nailing of his 95 thesis sparking the reformation. Celebrate the 500 year anniversary, and learn about an upcoming trip to Lutherland Germany.

Christkindlmarkt Sale; The GAHC’s gift shop will be filled with many new goodies and treats to stuff your stockings and fill the tree. Members wil get an EXTRA 10% discount Nov.16 & 17

Christkindlmarkt Bus Trip; Join us on December 2nd on a bus trip to Des Moines for their first annual Christkindlmarkt festival. $95 for members, $105 for nonmembers. Limited seating! Includes Dinner.

The German American Heritage Center also would like to extend and invitation to those interested in joining the center’s Building and Grounds Committee. The committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at 10am to discuss the condition of the building, grounds, and other issues with the the upkeep of the building.
