Illinois Congresswoman Bustos Announces $45,000 for Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Safety Equipment at Quad Cities International Airport
Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17), a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, announced that the Quad Cities International Airport will receive $45,000 in funding for aircraft rescue and fire fighting safety equipment from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
“Bringing home federal resources is a vital part of my job representing Northwest and Central Illinois,” said Congresswoman Bustos. “Today, I’m pleased to announce that the Quad Cities International Airport will receive $45,000 in federal funding for airport rescue and fire fighting safety equipment. These funds will ensure that the airport has the resources it needs to keep passengers and employees safe.”
This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, which Congresswoman Bustos voted to pass in February 2021.
