Midwest’s Favorite Marathon Returns to Quad Cities

Are you ready for the Midwest’s favorite marathon?

The TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon will take place this weekend in downtown Moline, with a run for everyone! There will be the Marathon, a Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, 1 Mile Run/Walk, Kids Micro-Marathon and the Pump-N-Run.Midwest’s Favorite Marathon Returns to Quad Cities

The weekend’s events start with the Active Endeavors Health & Fitness Expo at the TaxSlayer Center (1201 River Dr. Moline) on Saturday Sep 21 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  This event is open to the public. There will be more than 40 booths featuring health and fitness products and information. Race Registration will also be available for race categories.

From 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. the Build to Suit Pump-N-Run will be going on at the Expo. The morning starts at 7:30 a.m. with a Yoga and Stretching Session. A casual morning shake-out run will continue at 8 a.m. The Rudy’s Taco’s 1 Mile Run/Walk will start at 10 a.m. and the Happy Joe’s Kids Micro-Marathon will commence at 12 p.m.

On Sunday Sep 22, the Marathon, Marathon Relay and Half Marathon will begin promptly at 7:00 a.m. in downtown Moline. The 5k start time will be at 7:15 a.m. An Awards Ceremony for the 5K will be held at 9:00 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. for the Marathon events.

This one-of-a-kind race covers 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island, all along the Mississippi River. And they do this while benefitting charitable causes.
