Camp For Kids With Diabetes Coming Up

Camp For Kids With Diabetes Coming UpCamp Hertko Hollow, for children with diabetes and their families, is just around the corner! Have you registered? Spots are filling up! Sign up today! Our registration deadline is June16, 2017. Choose from the variety of programs we offer below.

 

KIDS WEEK (Ages 8-12)

June 25 – July 1

Get ready for a week full of fun and adventure! Campers will enjoy the experience of cabin living at camp and participate in swimming, nature hikes, horseback riding, arts & crafts and other camp activities.

 

TEEN WEEK (Ages 13-17)

July 2 – July 8

This week is guaranteed to be jam packed full of new experiences, new activities, and age-appropriate challenges that teens need to grow and gain independence.

 

MINI-CAMP (Ages 6-7)

Session 1: June 25 – June 28

Session 2: June 28 – July 1

Children in kindergarten and first grade can enjoy their first experience at diabetes camp by participating in a half week session at Camp Hertko Hollow.

 

LEADERS IN TRAINING – LIT (Age 16)

July 2 – July 8

The LIT program focuses on developing skills in leadership and team building through activities and sessions. The applicants for the LIT program will be selected to participate in the program after reviewing your application and essay. After successful completion of the LIT program you may be recommended for the CIT program the following year.

 

COUNSELORS IN TRAINING – CIT (Age 17)

June 25 – July 1

The CIT program serves as preparation to become a counselor at Camp Hertko Hollow in future years. A limited number of CITs will be chosen to attend camp during Kids Week and will be assigned to a young cabin of campers. CITs are not staff – but have the opportunity to be mentored and learn directly from staff, help run activities, and learn through observation. CITs should be enthusiastic and positive role models for campers.

 

*No child is turned away due to an inability to pay. Financial assistance is provided to everyone that requires it.
