Western Illinois University to Celebrate Giving Tuesday Dec. 3

MACOMB/Moline, IL – – Western Illinois University is proud to announce its participation in GivingTuesday, Dec. 3, a day that encourages philanthropy and generosity to support meaningful causes.

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to inspire generosity worldwide. It provides an opportunity for friends and alumni of WIU to invest in the future of students and the University, while upholding the rich tradition of philanthropy that has been a cornerstone of WIU’s success.

“GivingTuesday is an opportunity for our friends and alumni to invest in the future of our students and our University while celebrating Western’s 125th anniversary and its tradition of philanthropy,” WIU Director of Annual Giving Tim Hallinan said. “Today and every day, support from friends and alumni shapes the future for our students and the University, inspiring gratitude and fostering pride throughout the Leatherneck community.”

GivingTuesday at WIU offers the opportunity for individuals and organizations to direct their gifts to support any scholarship, program or initiative at the University. By participating in GivingTuesday, supporters of WIU play a crucial role in shaping the future and empowering the next generation of leaders.
