Rock Island Schools Celebration National Poetry Month With Young Lions Roar

A huge shoutout to Young Lions Roar wrapping up National Poetry Month with us last Friday!

They started the day visiting and working with our 5th and 6th graders on creative writing and poetry.

We finished the day with a Poetry Showcase after school where 12 of our Lions shared poems in front of a crowd! They all did such a wonderful job! We were even treated by some original work shared by Mr. Aubrey Barnes & Mr. DK! Thank you both for all the work you do with our students!
