Western Illinois University to Sponsor a Virtual Ignite Human Resource Round Table Event

MACOMB/Moline, IL – Western Illinois University will sponsor a virtual Ignite HR event through the Great River Human Resource Association at noon Wednesday, July 13. This virtual roundtable is open to the public.

WIU Management and Marketing Professor Susan Stewart will discuss the “Sexual Harassment of Teenage Workers” and will focus on the psychological, physical and behavioral effects of sexual harassment on teenage victims, share legal issues and court cases and generate new ideas for organizational actions and future research.

Stewart will answer questions based on her recently published research with H. K. Davison, including “Generation Z Workers and Sexual Harassment” in the International Journal of Human Resources Development and Management (2021) and “Teenage Workers Need Sexual Harassment Training, #TeensToo” in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (2019).

Stewart earned a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has consulted with many organizations. She is a human resource management professor at WIU and she has taught courses in human resource management, personnel selection, performance management, employment law, compensation, leadership and more. She is the 2022 recipient of the Faculty Excellence Award for Research/Scholarly Activities in WIU’s College of Business and Technology.
