University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) will offer students the opportunity to request a group move. Groups of six or more students (in even increments of the same gender) can request housing on the same residence hall floor and can begin the renewal process Wednesday, Jan. 31.

In addition to group moves, UHDS is offering a variety of other options for students renewing to campus, which includes:

    • Free parking pass for the Fall 2024–Spring 2025 academic year for junior, senior or graduate students (defined by 60+ credit hours by Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2024) who sign up for campus housing by Feb. 29, 2024

    • The 21+ community in Washington Hall

    • Semester contracts for students who are student teaching, doing an internship, studying abroad or graduating

    • Open Housing, which allows sophomores and above, regardless of sex, gender or gender identity, to share a room

    • Living Learning Communities (LLC) for students to connect and live on the same floor with others who share the same interests or major

A new Living Learning Community was introduced last year, titled Public Safety. Public safety is at the heart of every community. Students choosing to live within this environment have a chance to connect, share interests, succeed academically and enhance the future communities they serve. With innovative technology, programs and chances to interact with faculty and their peers across the public safety careers, this community provides lifelong friendships, direct academic support and mentorship.

Students who are not required to live on campus and wish to cancel their housing contract, must do so by Monday, March 1 to avoid a contract breakage fee equal to the double room rate.
