Quad City Animal Welfare Shelter Announces Two New Events

The Quad City Animal Welfare Center is thrilled to announce two exciting humane education drop in events (no need to sign up in advance) on Saturday, July 20th, designed to engage and educate families about animal welfare.
Wags & Tales Reading Event – Join the QCAWC at The Atlas Collective, located at 1801 5th Avenue in Moline, IL, for the Wags & Tales Reading Event from 10 AM to 12 PM. A dedicated QCAWC Team Member will be reading “Not My Cat” by Stacey Patton and “Let’s Get a Pup! Said Kate” by Bob Graham. This event promises a delightful experience for children and families, with a special guest appearance by a shelter animal ready to meet and greet attendees. In addition to the story time, the QCAWC will have coloring pages for the kids to enjoy and valuable shelter and clinic information for families to take home. Families are encouraged to bring a donation from the QCAWC Wish List to support other shelter pets in need. The wish list is available at: https://qcawc.org/donate/wish-list
QCAWC Kids Crafting Day – Later in the afternoon, from 2-4 PM, the QCAWC invites you to the QCAWC Kids Crafting Day at the Quad City Animal Welfare Center Education Center, located at 724 West 2nd Avenue in Milan. Bring your little artists (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult) and join us for an afternoon of creativity and kindness. Participants will be making awesome enrichment toys for our furry friends at the shelter, along with other fun crafts.
