Illinois Congressman Sorensen Highlights 100 Days in Office

Moline, IL – Today, Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) marked 100 days serving Central and Northwestern Illinois in Congress. 

“During the past 100 days, we’ve made significant progress toward making our communities sustainable, safe, and healthy,” said Sorensen. “It has been an honor to serve Central and Northwestern Illinois in the House of Representatives so far and I look forward to continuing being their trusted neighbor and voice in Congress.” 

Illinois Congressman Sorensen Highlights 100 Days in Office

 Sorensen highlighted the following accomplishments during his first 100 days in office: 

 Helping bring $32,617,709 in grant funding to Illinois’ 17th Congressional District, which includes historic investments in education, infrastructure, job creation, and more. 

  • Saving constituents $221,933 by helping resolve issues with the federal government, including disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). 
  • Successfully helping over 115 constituents resolve issues with the federal agencies. 
  • Meeting with over 223 constituents, stakeholders, and community leaders. 
  • Responding to over 4,000 constituent messages submitted to the office via phone, mail, and email.

In addition, Sorensen cast 182 votes, cosponsored 29 pieces of legislation, and attended nine committee hearings and markup sessions where he helped draft and send bills to the House floor.
