Ms. Sherwin-Cole replaces outgoing Executive Director and Founder, Regina Haddock. Ms. Haddock had announced her planned retirement, and a search for a new Executive Director was underway, when the temporary floodwall of the Mississippi River failed, flooding Dress for Success Quad Cities’ location and forcing them to evacuate. Dress for Success Quad Cities moved forward with their planned search and hired Ms. Sherwin-Cole as the new Executive Director. A native of the Quad Cities, Tyla Sherwin-Cole has served non-profits for more than ten years. Ms. Sherwin-Cole impressed the search committee with her dedication to public service, her empathy for others, her authenticity, and her passion.

“We are truly grateful to Regina for founding Dress for Success Quad Cities and plan to build upon the foundation she helped establish. Tyla’s shared passion for empowering women, her effusive energy, and her long-term expertise in non-profits will lead us through our next phase of growth as we continue to help the women of the Quad Cities reach economic independence and achieve their own self-defined success.” –Cheryl Kung, President, Dress for Success Quad Cities Board of Directors.

Tyla Sherwin-Cole is eager to face the challenges of her new position. “It’s amazing to see so many women working towards a goal, and that goal is to empower other women,” said Sherwin-Cole.
