Davenport Public Library to Host Family Roles with Chemical Dependency Program
The Davenport Public Library will host a program on April 13th at 1pm |Main and |Virtual.
When living under the same roof with someone who is dependent on alcohol or other drugs, children of addiction and other family members may adopt coping strategies that can create lasting negative effects. These coping strategies include individual roles each family member takes on to keep the attention off the individual with a substance dependence and keep the family secret from getting out. Participants of this training will learn about the common roles children of addiction take on and how they are impacted by the chaos of living in a home where drug addiction is present.
This program is best suited for adults. Registration is required.
