Ballet Quad Cities Defines Dance This Weekend!
Looking for the best entertainment this weekend? Don’t miss Defining Dance!
Ballet Quad Cities’ latest leaps your way at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Scottish Rite Cathedral/Spotlight Theatre, 1800 7th Avenue, Moline!
One of the five original pieces in this performance is sure to become your new favorite! Margaret King’s Swingin’ On the Moon & Rodeo are both back by popular demand. Emerging choreographer Emily Kate Long’s On the Run with skateboards, hula hoops, and scooters will delight everyone. Courtney Lyon’s Dance “Four” Piano was commissioned by Orchestra Iowa, to live music by Emanuel Ax and has never been performed in the Quad Cities. No Limits, Just Edges is inspired by Jackson Pollock’s unique and exciting method of dripping and flinging paint onto a canvas on the floor.
This week, Ballet Q-C allowed us at QuadCities.com into their rehearsals to shoot some pictures and give you a sneak preview of the event! Enjoy the trip!
