Rock Island Students Get Real-World Experience During National Apprenticeship Week
This week is National Apprenticeship Week! We want to celebrate our Rock Island High School students who are enrolled in the U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program and thank our community partners who are employing them for these apprenticeships. These students attend RIHS in the morning and work in the afternoon at local businesses.
Over intersession and summer break, they work full-time. After completion of the Registered Apprenticeship, these students have the opportunity to pursue additional certifications or degrees in the nursing or welding field. They also have the opportunity to be employed full-time after graduation!
