Meet The New Illinois And Iowa Pets Of The Week!

It’s time to meet the Illinois and Iowa Pets of the Week!

This week, there are a number of pets to choose from!

National Dog Week is a week to celebrate your loyal canine! We are celebrating by offering ½ price adoptions on adult dogs! Visit the QCAWC website to view adoptable dogs https://qcawc.org/adopt/dogs or stop by and chat with one of our helpful team members. You can also celebrate National Dog Week by becoming a QCAWC Volunteer https://qcawc.org/how-to-help/volunteer or making a donation to QCAWC https://qcawc.org/donate
#RememberMeThursday is Thursday Sept. 28th and is an International Social Media Awareness Day that brings attention to the millions of adoptable pets waiting in shelters and remembers those pets who never got a second chance.
Animal-lovers and animal welfare organizations, like QCAWC, across the globe will unite Thursday, Sept 28th sharing pictures of their adopted pets and pictures of pets waiting to find their forever homes with the hashtag #RemeberMeThursday! To view adoptable animals, visit the QCAWC website https://qcawc.org/adopt
World Rabies Day is Thursday, Sept. 28th. This day raises awareness about rabies and how to prevent it. Fortunately, a rabies vaccine is easy to obtain and not too costly. The rabies vaccine must be given by a licensed veterinarian, and you also must register with your local county or city that your pet has been vaccinated. Rabies vaccines, along with other lifesaving vaccines, are available at the QCAWC Drive-Up Curbside Clinic every Wednesday and the first Saturday of the month from 8-11 am. The clinic is located at 612 1st Street West in Milan.
For a list of services and products visit the QCAWC website https://qcawc.org/vet-clinic/drive-up-curbside-wellness-clinic
