Western Illinois University Quad-Cities Begins Recruiting ESports Players

Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Esports teams are actively recruiting new members to join the competition.

“Esports is a great opportunity to meet new friends, have fun and represent the University against teams across the country,” WIU-QC Student Services Director Curtis Williams said.

The teams include:

  • Valorant

 

  • Rocket League

 

  • Fortnite

 

  • NBA2K

 

  • Street Fighter 6

 

  • Rainbow Six Siege

 

  • Overwatch

 

  • Counter-Strike 2

 

  • Call of Duty

 

  • League of Legends

 

  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

 

  • Many more.

WIU-QC Esports provides a friendly, inclusive environment. For people who want to spend time together playing games with their friends or have aspirations of competing in big tournaments in the World of eSports – WIU-QC eSports is a place where all are welcome. Our eSports team currently competes in League of Legends, Valorant, Super Smash Bros., Madden, Fortnite, Overwatch and many more.
