The Western Illinois University Libraries and University Counseling Center (UCC) are collaborating to bring therapy dogs to Malpass Library monthly throughout the Fall 2024 semester. The initiative is part of the UCC Wellness Wednesday series, which is an effort to help students manage their stress and to promote healthy habits.
Therapy dogs will be available at the Garden Lounge on the second floor of Malpass Library at the following times: 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 and 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. Therapy dogs will also be available during the week of final exams; the dates and times will be announced in the coming weeks.
