Phi Beta Delta International Honor Society Invites Western Illinois Community to Learn More
Western Illinois University faculty, staff and students are invited to learn more about Phi Beta Delta, an international honor society dedicated to promoting international education and fostering a global exchange of ideas.
The Eta Epsilon Chapter at WIU provides scholarships for international study and engages with the international community through various events. These include cultural nights for new international students, a pumpkin carving and wiener roast social, cultural presentations for area high school students and a scholarship dinner featuring cuisine and cultural aspects of a selected country.
Membership in Phi Beta Delta is open to faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members committed to advancing international understanding. Participation in the society’s activities can also be a valuable addition to scholarship and employment applications.
Those interested in joining Phi Beta Delta are encouraged to attend an informational meeting at 5 p.m. on March 4 in the boardroom of the WIU Union. Current members will provide details about the organization and answer questions.
Those unable to attend but interested in applying can contact Phi Beta Delta President John Carlson, at PBD@wiu.edu.
