Quad Cities Area Hy-Vee Stores to Deliver HOPE Bags to Local Community Organizations

Over the holiday season, customers of the Quad Cities Hy-Vee stores donated more than 1,200 HOPE bags to community organizations in need. Starting Wednesday, January 8, Hy-Vee employees from the stores will deliver the bags to Roosevelt Community Center, Project Now and Christian Care.

Since November, customers have been able to purchase a HOPE bag at their local Hy-Vee store for $10. The bag contains grocery items to make side dishes for families in need (egg noodles, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, turkey gravy packets, instant potatoes & corn muffin mix).   Lisa Michel, Marketing and Communications Coordinator says this HOPE bag off is another way the Quad Cities area stores give back to the community and those facing food insecurity.
