IowaWORKS hosts Registered Apprenticeship open house This Week

IowaWORKS, 1801 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport, will host a local Registered Apprenticeship Fair as part of its Monday hiring event — Opportunity Knocks on Monday.

The event is part of a state-wide initiative celebrating Registered Apprenticeship Week 2022, November 14-20.   The event highlights the careers available through the registered apprenticeship model – Earn and Learn. A Registered Apprenticeship allows for an apprentice to earn a paycheck while being trained on the job and attending in-classroom training.
The event allows for job seekers to explore local Registered Apprenticeship opportunities in the Quad Cities and beyond.  Among those represented at the event include:  local Trades — Plumbers, Electricians, Engineers Millwrights, and Carpenters. Employers will also be present to interact with job seekers about area jobs.
