Genesis GOPEDS Kids Start Own Version Of Arconic Jr Bix
Kids receiving therapy from Genesis Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Center (GOPEDS) will run their version of the Arconic Jr Bix in the clinic’s parking lot. The event will start at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17 at GOPEDS – 2535 Maplecrest Road, Bettendorf.
The kids running the race are GOPEDS’ special needs clients. They may have mobility issues due to injury, autism, cerebral palsy, or other conditions. The event is an excellent opportunity for a feel-good story in the days leading up to the Quad-City Times Bix 7. Kids will receive official Jr Bix medals and t-shirts. The Running Wild Elite Team members will also be on hand to help cheer on the kids. New this year, the kids will finish the race under the Running Wild arch. Additionally, during the sensory-friendly race, people will cheer by blowing bubbles.
