Davenport West’s Donna Holeman Wins Iowa School Nutrition Association Manager Of The Year
Congratulations to Donna Holeman, FNS Manager at West High School, for being named School Nutrition Association’s Manager of the Year for the State of Iowa!
Donna was nominated for Manager of the Year for the State of Iowa for all she does each day for her students and staff. She strives to provide choices and ensure her students have the freshest and healthiest options for their lunches, while also developing adaptive ways for students to make their own menu choices in the cafeteria. Donna believes in cross training staff and helping them reach higher goals. She teaches with empathy and knows everyone learn differently. Donna has mentored and trained several current managers and assistant managers in our district. She continues to be an intracule part of the Summer Feeding Program. Each year she helps reach the community through feeding the children and continues to play a large role assisting with planning, preparing, and serving at our Youth Fest event. Donna jumps in to help any way she can, whether it is in her kitchens or on management team responsibilities. She supports others on her team and appreciates them for all of their support.
