WIU Hosts WIU Week Two of Winter Weeks of Welcome

The Western Illinois University Office of Student Engagement (OSE), in conjunction with numerous other campus offices, will host “Winter Weeks of Welcome” for the first four weeks of the Spring 2021 semester.

The goal of the events is to help engage students and help them make meaningful connections.

WIU Hosts WIU Week Two of Winter Weeks of WelcomeThe schedule for Monday- Friday, Jan. 25- 29 includes:

Monday, Jan. 25
– All day, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – University Counseling Center Kinder Monday, in-person at Memorial Hall
– 7 p.m. – TASC Leatherneck Success Leader Information Session – virtual

Tuesday, Jan. 26
– 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Tuesday on the Terrace, in-person on the University Union terrace
– 2-3:30 p.m. – OSE Activities Fair #1 (see Purple Post for more details)
– 4-5:30 p.m. – OSE Activities Fair #2 (see Purple Post for more details)
– 6-7 p.m. – Fraternity and Sorority Life Q&A – virtual

Wednesday, Jan. 27
– 2-3:30 p.m. – OSE Activities Fair #3 (see Purple Post for more details)
– 4-5:30 p.m. – OSE Activities Fair #4 (see Purple Post for more details)
– 7 p.m. – University Union Board Virtual Bingo Night
– 6-7 p.m. – OSE and Campus Rec Laugh Out Loud Yoga – virtual
– 11 a.m.-2 p.m. – Wednesday’s with the Women’s Center, in-person at the MCC multipurpose room
– 6-7 p.m. – WIU Zoom Social – virtual

Thursday, Jan. 28
– 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Thursday on the Terrace, in- person on the University Union terrace
– 2-3:30 p.m. – OSE Activities Fair #5 (see Purple Post for more details)
– 4-5:30 p.m. – OSE Activities Fair #6 (see Purple Post for more details)
– 4-5:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. – Multicultural Center Open House, in-person at the MCC

Friday, Jan. 29
– 1-2 p.m. – Casa Latina Café y Hablamos, in-person at the MCC

The project is being coordinated in cooperation with Campus Recreation, the University Union, the Multicultural Center, Athletics, University Housing and Dining Services and Transition and Retention Services.
