Western Illinois University Releases New COVID-19 Test/Vaccination Protocols

MACOMB/Moline, IL – As Western Illinois University prepares to start the Spring 2022 semester, all members of the University community (vaccinated and unvaccinated) are encouraged to complete a COVID-19 test before returning to WIU’s campuses (individuals who had COVID-19 in the last 90 days do not need to test). COVID-19 test clinics will be available on both campuses as well.

Following the initial test upon returning to WIU, individuals who are unvaccinated and who attend classes, activities/events, and/or work on either WIU campus (Macomb and Moline) must comply with the required weekly testing. Individuals may opt out of testing if proof of vaccination is provided (see information below).

Booster recommendations are in place for the COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States. Individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. Booster shots will be available at the WIU campus vaccination clinics.
