Western Illinois School of Music Faculty to Perform Oct. 5

The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Faculty Recital featuring baritone Nicholas Miguel and pianist Jeffrey Brown at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Nicholas Miguel, an assistant professor of Voice, and Jeffery Brown, the director of the School of Music and a professor of Piano, will be performing Robert Schumann’s most famous song cycle “Dichterliebe,” a beloved classic in German Lieder. Additionally, they will perform “Venezia,” a set of Venetian Italian songs composed by Reynaldo Hahn.

11. Ein Jüngling liebt en Mädchen
12. Am leuchtenden Sommermorgen
13. Ich hab’ im Traum geweinet
14. Allnächtlich im Traume
15. Aus alten Märchen
16. Die alten bösen Lieder

INTERMISSION

Venezia – Reynaldo Hahn (1874-1947)

4. La biondina in gondoleta
5. Che pecà
6. La primavera
