Western Illinois Hosting ‘Winter Weeks of Welcome’ This Week
The Western Illinois University Office of Student Engagement (OSE), in conjunction with numerous other campus offices, will host “Winter Weeks of Welcome” for the first four weeks of the Spring 2021 semester.
The goal of the events is to help engage students and help them make meaningful connections.
The schedule includes:
• Thursday, Jan. 21
– 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Thursday on the Terrace, in-person on the University Union terrace
– 3-5 p.m. Fraternity and Sorority Life Activities Fair
– 8 p.m. UUB and IHC Paint and Go – virtual
– 7 p.m. – UHDS Western Leader information session – virtual and in person in the University Union’s Brattain Lounge
• Friday, Jan. 22
– 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Leatherneck women’s and men’s basketball games vs. South Dakota, virtual
– Martin Luther King Jr. Week of Service ends
• Saturday, Jan. 23
– 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Leatherneck women’s and men’s basketball games vs. Kansas City – virtual
The project is being coordinated in cooperation with Campus Recreation, the University Union, the Multicultural Center, Athletics, University Housing and Dining Services and Transition and Retention Services.
