Visit Quad Cities Supporting Black-Owned Businesses & Community Events in the Quad Cities
Visit Quad Cities is proud to celebrate Black History Month by recognizing and uplifting Black-owned businesses, restaurants, and community events throughout the region. Lists of Black-owned restaurants and businesses in the Quad Cities are available on the Visit Quad Cities blog.
“Visit Quad Cities is proud to highlight Black History Month as it provides an opportunity for visitors and residents to learn, reflect, and celebrate together,” said Lindsey Row, Director of Public Relations and Communications. “We encourage local event hosts to submit their Black History Month special events and celebrations to the Visit Quad Cities website calendar—the largest comprehensive event calendar for the region.”
Some upcoming events include:
- Black Business Expo (February 22, 2025) – Hosted by the QC Empowerment Network, the Black Business Expo celebrates 10 years of supporting Black-owned businesses in the Quad Cities. Attendees can meet local entrepreneurs, shop from vendors, and network within the community. Interested vendors can register through the QC Empowerment Network.
- East Moline Public Library Black History Month Film Series – A month-long film series featuring impactful films centered on Black history and culture. High schoolers and adults are invited to attend free screenings every Tuesday in February at 3:30 p.m.
