Theo’s Java Club, A Downtown Rock Island Favorite, Up For Sale
The legendary Theo’s Java Club, a downtown Rock Island favorite for almost three decades, is up for sale.
As reported yesterday on the QuadCities.com Instagram and Facebook, owner Theo Grevas, who opened the shop in 1993, announced the move on the business’ Facebook page, posting:
“Friends, I am announcing today that Theo’s Java Club Cafe and building are FOR SALE!
I want to thank all of you for helping me keep this dream alive for 27 years. My appreciation for you is beyond measure. It has been my pleasure to serve you!
Normal business hours will remain the same as we navigate this transition. Updates will follow.
If you or someone you know would like to view the building and coffee shop operations, dm me on FB and/or Instagram, leave name and number and I will get back to you very soon!
In the meantime, come to downtown Rock Island and have another cup of coffee!
Thank you for your support!
Theo”
It’s not yet known if there are any interested buyers, or if they would maintain Theo’s in the same style and format.
QuadCities.com will continue to follow this story.
