Rocky Horror Auditions Saturday at Speakeasy

The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Wallpaper #1

Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse and The Speakeasy are thrilled to be producing this cult classic again in October!

Auditions will be held at 10:00 am on June 3rd and noon on June 4th at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse located at 1828 3rd Avenue in Rock Island. Please bring a current headshot & resume and prepare 16 bars (or one verse and one chorus) of a pop/rock song. You may choose to sing a selection from the show. An accompanist will be provided, please bring sheet music. A Cappella and outside recordings will not be allowed. Be prepared to cold read from the script and learn a dance combination. If you would like to be considered for the role of Columbia, please bring tap shoes and be prepared to learn a small tap combo.

This is not the film and shadow cast experience. No screens, no lip syncing. Be aware that while there is no nudity in this production, some characters will need to be comfortable in revealing clothing.

All performances of The Rocky Horror Show will be at The Speakeasy. The Speakeasy is Circa ’21’s secondary facility. Run dates are October 20, 21, 27, and 28th. There will be two shows each night. The Rocky Horror Show will be Directed by Bret & Erin Churchill and Tyson Danner will serve as Musical Director.
