Catch Me If You Can    Performance Dates: March 22 thru March 25

This bright and bouncy show features a sixties-influenced score by the “Hairspray” team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The show is based on the 2002 film of the same name which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and follows the story of con man Frank Abagnale Junior.  Narrated by Frank as if his story is a television special, Catch Me draws audiences in to his web of relationships with his parents, FBI agent Hanratty and eventually his girlfriend and her parents. The show manages to walk the fine line of making Frank likeable in spite of his crimes. (From the show’s first scene, we know he’ll eventually pay for his misdeeds.)”Catch Me if You Can”, the musical flew onto Broadway in April 2011 and ran for over 200 performances and is now on tour throughout the US. The show received critical praise and was nominated for four Tony Awards.  Whether or not you’ve seen Steven Spielberg’s hit movie based on the same subject matter, if you enjoy a comic caper, Catch Me If You Can is the musical to see.

Mame                  Performance Dates: June 8-10, June 14-17

Mame is based on the 1955 novel and subsequent play ‘Auntie Mame’ by Patrick Dennis. The musical version features a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. The show is set in New York during the Great Depression and focuses on the comic misadventures of eccentric bohemian Mame Dennis. Her ridiculous lifestyle is upset when her young nephew comes to stay with her. This classic won three Tony Awards in 1966 and features many wonderful songs including “We Need a Little Christmas”, “If He Walked Into My Life” and of course the title tune “Mame”.

A Chorus Line          Performance Dates: July 6-8, July 12-15

For the first time on the Music Guild Stage, A Chorus Line explores the inner lives and poignant ambitions of professional Broadway gypsies, vying for a spot in a Broadway show. With music by Marvin Hamlisch, it features one powerhouse number after another. Memorable musical numbers include “What I Did for Love, “One,” “I Can Do That,” “At the Ballet,” “The Music and the Mirror,” and “I Hope I Get It.”  A CHORUS LINE was instantly recognized as a classic.  An unprecedented box office and critical hit, the musical received twelve Tony Award nominations and won nine, in addition to the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Dazzling dance and beautiful music, you won’t want to miss it.

Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. It’s the tale of a big green ogre, an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you have pure magic.
