`Fancy Nancy’ Gets Circa All Fancied Up For Holiday

In FANCY NANCY SPLENDIFEROUS CHRISTMAS THE MUSICAL, our grade-school heroine wants to buy a fancy ornament for her family’s Christmas tree, and decides to raise the money by selling her old dresses and accessories. But when her little sister JoJo falls in love with a rhinestone necklace at the sale and doesn’t realize that Nancy has already sold it, the show’s extra-fancy star has to find a way to retrieve the necklace, make the money, and ensure a merry Christmas for all.

Described by Stage Buddy magazine as “a splendiferous choice for any family wanting to learn the true meaning of Christmas,” FANCY NANCY SPLENDIFEROUS CHRISTMAS THE MUSICAL is directed by Andrea Moore, the theatre’s operation manager and former member of the performing wait staff, The Bootleggers. She also had appeared in such musicals as CATS, GREASE and JOSEPH…DREAMCOAT. Moore also directed the previous FANCY NANCY: THE MUSICAL, as well as holiday productions of THE MOST  FAMOUS REINDEER OF ALL and JINGLE ARRGH THE WAY.

Travis Smith serves as music director for FANCY NANCY SPLENDIFEROUS CHRISTMAS THE MUSICAL, and filling out the professional cast for this new family musical are three of Moore’s fellow Bootleggers – Brad Hauskins, Sarah Hayes and Antoinette Holman – plus performers TJ Besler, Catie Moss and Miranda Sloan, all of whom appear in Circa ’21’s current mainstage production of ELF: THE MUSICAL.

Circa ’21 is thrilled to be treating family audiences to this early holiday present and encourages audiences to make immediate reservations at 786-7733, ext. 2 for the joyous, wondrous, stupendous fun of FANCY NANCY SPLENDIFEROUS CHRISTMAS THE MUSICAL!
