RAGBRAI Riding Through Iowa
The oldest, largest and longest week-long bicycle touring event in the world has finally arrived. That’s right, it’s time for RAGBRAI!
The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) is scheduled to begin Saturday July 22 and conclude on Saturday July 29.
The RAGBRAI route averages 468 miles. It begins somewhere along Iowa’s western border on the Missouri River and ends along the eastern border on the Mississippi River. Eight Iowa communities along the RAGBRAI route serve as “host” communities for overnight stays.
RAGBRAI XLV will begin in Orange City on July 22 with the RAGBRAI Expo from 12-9 p.m. The ride will begin on Sunday July 23. Here is this year’s schedule of cities:

Granville to Paullina – 9.6 miles
Paullina to Primghar (Meeting) – 10.0 miles
