What is the first thing you think of when you think of Augustana College?
Is it the school mascot? The campus? The events you’ve attended or heard about, or is it what the school is better known for in the sports world: the school’s basketball team?

“This is going to be a big season for Augustana Women’s Basketball program,” said sophomore player Sadie Roberts. “We are currently on the road to turning the program around in a positive manner. We’ve got a great returning group coming back and have been fortunate to have a strong freshmen group come in . . . We are all very excited to finally start playing some games and have been very reliant on each other for great team support.
“We are hoping to bring in a larger audience with more community members to support us through the turning of this program and go through this journey with us for a memorable season,” Roberts said. “What I like most about basketball is the people I can surround myself with, my teammates. I know I have 19 girls to back me up and support me on and off the court. They have provided me with lots of memories and continual support while also pushing me to be the best person I can be.”
