Are You Ready For Some Baseball?!!???Baseball season is finally upon us! It’s time to start rooting for our Quad Cities River Bandits!

The QC River Bandit’s Opening Day is this Thursday, April 6. There will be pregame fireworks, a magnet schedule giveaway and Thirsty Thursday specials. The game is scheduled for 6:35pm against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. You can check out the following link for this season’s schedule: http://www.milb.com/schedule/index.jsp?sid=t565.

Also scheduled for this weekend is the one and only bi-state Bandits Race to Home 5K and Kids Fun Run! Presented by Palmer Chiropractic Clinics and the Quad City Times, this event will take place on Saturday, April 8 at 9am. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Bandit Scholars Program, which funds three college scholarships each year for Quad Cities youth and is administered by the Community Foundation.

Registration for the 5K and Kids Fun Run race is open until the day of the event. Registration includes a ticket to a baseball game. Cost for the 5K is $30 if registered prior to the day of the race, and $35 if not. The cost of the Fun Run (ages 12 and under) is $10. Grab your peanuts and crackerjacks, and head on out to the ball game! Then, grab your running shoes and help out a great cause!
