Silvis to Ignite Hispanic Heritage Month with Explosive Festival

This free, family-friendly extravaganza will take place on Saturday, September 14th, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the heart of downtown Silvis on Hero Street.

Kids will be in paradise with a dedicated zone packed with giant games, a soft play area, mesmerizing magic shows, hilarious balloon artists, and fantastic face painting. Car enthusiasts will rev up their engines for a thrilling car show featuring classic rides from the Quad Cities Latin Persuasion Car Club. 

Savor the irresistible flavors of Hispanic cuisine from a diverse array of food vendors and discover unique treasures from local artisans. Dance the afternoon away to the infectious rhythms of the Dietz Soliz Band and be captivated by a breathtaking ballet folklorico performance by the Quad Cities Ballet Folklorico. 

Gain valuable insights from local leaders, including Silvis Mayor Matt Carter, RI County Board Chairperson Richard Quijas, and RI County Board Member Luis Moreno, as they share their vision for the community.
